Under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, the faculty of medicine is going to organize the 2ndconference on Tropical Medicine & Gastroenterology from 6th to 9th of February 2018. Prof. Ghallab stressed that Aswan university adopts the culture of promoting the educational tourism and holding scientific conferences as the international scientific conferences are considered great opportunity for tourism promotion. Prof. Ihab Fawzy – the professor of digestive system & liver and the head of the conference _ said that the conference will handle the updates in liver diseases, viral hepatitis, digestive system diseases, ulcerative colitis, common infectious diseases in Egypt, and endoscopy.
A workshop on endoscopy in Sohag university hospital and another on abdominal ultrasounds, liver stiffness measurement and color doppler on liver in Aswan university hospital are supposed to be held in the sidelines of the conference. It should be noted that, selected group of the professors of digestive system, liver and infectious diseases of the universities of (Cairo, Ain Shams, Alexandria, Assuit, Sohag, Al-Azhar, Al-Minia, South Valley and Aswan) are going to participate in the conference.
