The evening of Tuesday, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President witnessed the launching of the events of the initiative presidential “Sports is a National Security” for the eighth week in a row since its launching with the beginning of the academic year 17th October 2020 under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Supreme Council of Universities.
That has been organized by the Faculty of Physical Education in cooperation with the central administrative of youth welfare at the university stadium under the auspice of Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Mohamed Hassanein-Vice President of Universities Sports Federation and Dr. Hisham Al Juyushi- Secretary of Federation.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab added that the presidential initiative” Sports is National Security” witnessed a several of sporting games and student activities that have been organized by sports administrative department at the Faculty of Physical Education in coincidence with the celebration of International Day of People With Special Needs with the participation of schools of special needs people at the Directorate of Education, and Directorate of Youth &Sports through a number of youth center, Nile Clube of the Arab Contractors, Rowing Club for the target of participating people with special needs in sport activities under the umbrella of the presidential initiative that has been launched by Abdel Fattah Al Sisi -President of the Republic, Aswan University works on providing the opportunity of sports is a right for all through playgrounds and sports constructions of Aswan University in order to be the core of sports infrastructure in Aswan in addition to Aswan Stadium that will witness the some matches of Egyptian League teams with the existence of Aswan Sports Club team.
Dr. Adel Makie-Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education explained that the events of the presidential initiative Sports is a National Security comes in every Sunday and Tuesday from each week on the university stadiums, the sports events of this week coincides with the international day of people with special needs in the attendance of an elite of academic staff at the faculty Dr. Walid Rizk and Dr. Mohamed Hamed at the Department of Sports Administration as well as the participation of postgraduate studies students diploma-master-doctorate and include sports, entertainment and cultural performances, and a sports and artistic show at Aswan University stadium.
