Under the patronage of Prof . Mohamed Gabr Shedid-the dean of the faculty of archeology which organized cultural symposium with the title (possession ,registration and the laws of mounments) to raise the archaeological cultural level among its students ,on Tuesday 13/11/2018.
Presented by Mr. Mahmoud Khalil Abdel Hamid – the general director of general administration for possession and collectible at the ministry of antiquities.
The symposium was attended by :
Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Hafez –Archaeology Inspector , Department of Possession and Archaeological Acquisitions
Mr.Fawzi Farouq Ashour-Archaeology Inspector , Department of Possession and Antiquities
Ms.- Heba Ibrahim Ahmed – Rapporteur of the Committee on the management of possession and archaeological acquisitions.
The symposium was started by the opening speech of the dean and his welcome to the attenders and the academic staff who participated in the symposium.
At the same time Mr.Mahmoud explained that the scientific expressions for possession and its relationship with the possession of antiques , the constitutional laws ,and the archaeological registrations and the way to register each artifact, he said that each registered artifact in the ministry of antiques is a real artifact, and any unrecorded piece can’t be called an artifact even if is a real .
He affirmed the necessary standards of archaeology inspector which are( experience – archetypal sense – the power of personality – fieldwork).
Mr.Ahmed Hafez explained that the styles and methods of discovering to distinguish between real and fake artifacts, and the way of registration artifacts in the ministry of antiquities.
The students asked the questions and discussed the lecturers to increase their knowledge.
