On Sunday, the Council of Aswan University has been held headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President as well as in attendance of Dr. Ayman Osman- Vice-University President for Postgraduate Studies & Research Affairs, and Dr. Magdy Mohamed Ali – Vice University President for Serving the Community and Developing the environment with the presence of deans of the faculties and advisors of the University President ; Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President opened the works of the council with welcome to the attended ones and offering congratulations in the occasion of receiving new academic year 2020/2021 that it’s decided to begin in the next October 17, 2020.
Prof. Ahmed Ghallab confirmed on the deans of the faculties taking all the protective preparations and precautionary measures as a caring for the safety of students and the university workers, and sterilizing all the educational buildings from studying halls, laboratories, administrative offices, and means of transportation in the university, as well as the workshops of University hostels have been sterilized and prepared it with all caring ways for the students with emphasizing on not to increase the expenses on the last year.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added throughout the Council the electronic platforms have been set at the university, and the university acquired educational experiences in the e-learning field after stopping the study in the last year because of the emerging pandemic of corona-virus; according to the directions of both the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , and the Supreme Universities Council it will be blended the experience of both the e-learning and the hybrid learning throughout the electronic platforms and decrease the percentage of attendance for the theoretical faculties, as well as some of scientific degrees ( master-doctorate) have been granted for a number of students in the different faculties at the University.
