Aswan University, Minister of Higher Education, American University, and American Agency for International Development Participate in opening the First Virtual Forum

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar has launched the first virtual forum for employing at the universities for 2020 UCCD, Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President has participated in the inauguration in the attendance of American University President in Cairo Frances Richardonie, Advisor of the American University Dr.Ashraf Hatem, Manager of American Agency for International Development /Leslie Reed and 10 Presidents of  Governmental Egyptian Universities. As well as the National Bank of Cairo participated as the main partner with more than 40 companies in submitting the opportunities of works and training in the event which has been hosted at the University Centers for Career Development. As well as the University Centers for Career Development hosted the forum which is a project funded by the American Agency for International Development carried out by the American University in Cairo at 10 universities: Alexandria, Ain Shams, Aswan, Beni Suef, Mansoura, Menia, Minya, Sadat, Sohag, and Zagazig.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar has confirmed” we all know only the university certificate is not enough at the current time and the labor market gives the priority for the skilled ones, so organizing the virtual employing forum is considered a great opportunity to raise the capabilities of students of the Egyptian  Universities and qualify them for competing after graduation especially in the modern sectors and specializations” the Minister added” Career Development Centers that were carried out by the American University play an important role in helping students to develop their skills, informing them with the needs of the labor market and training them to be qualified for it, and raising the level of the graduated ones. He pointed out 15 centers have been set in 10 Governmental Universities that have communicated with a large segment of students. Such as these events are considered a distinctive opportunity for both sides while it provides the opportunity for the business sector and companies to get the best humanitarian elements from the distinctive ones who are able to work at the labor market as well as link the education with the industry sector”.

Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President said ”Aswan University is caring for providing business and training opportunities for students and graduated ones, and 578 students and graduated ones have applied for participating at the employing forum from the batches of 2017 to 2021, and it’s worth to be mentioned the teamwork of the University Center for Career Development at Aswan University have trained students on the way of writing a CV and personal interviews, and they worked on helping them correct their CV, then the university has accepted  272 applicants to be worthful to represent the university and have the ability to compete at the labor market. The Employing Virtual Forum for the Career Development Centers at the universities for 2020 is considered a virtual event by the net throughout it the business owners meet with students of universities in a virtual environment by using chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars, or the e-mail to exchange the information on the available opportunities. The ones who research for jobs, students of the final year, and new graduates have to upload their CV, browse the branches of the companies, connect directly with the representatives of the companies, download the advertising materials of the companies, and attend the webinars; Prof.Ahmed Ghalleb pointed out the virtual forum is used an electronic platform support the business owners to free from the obstacles of the traditional employing operations; throughout this 3D platform by the internet, the business owners and those who research for work can communicate virtually which is similar to the sense of the realistic direct dealing.
