As a part of Aswan university president Prof. Ayman Othman’s keenness on enhancing students’ talents, Chinese department achieved advanced places in reciting poetry and novel in Chinese language at the level of Egyptian universities. The students/ Ahmed Adel and Fady Ata, 4th batch Chinese department, got the 3rd place in reciting poetry in Chinese. The competition was held in Cairo university where 18 students in Chinese departments from the universities of (Cairo, Ain Shams, Aswan, Luxor, Alexandria, Helwan, Kafr Al Sheikh, Pharos) and the Higher Institute for Language and Translation) participated in the contest.
Aswan university president added that the arbitration committee included members of Chinese embassy, Chinese professors and mangers of Chinese press agencies.
In the same context, the student/ Ola Alaa, 3rd batch in Chinese department, achieved Excellence Award in novel recitation in Chinese which was held on Britain University theatre in Cairo. It is worth mentioning that Ola Alaa was qualified for finals after selecting her among the top 12th competitors at the level of Egyptian universities.
Dr. Hazem Al Gamal, dean of the faculty of Alsun, pointed at Prof. Ayman Othman’s ongoing support to students, cultural and sports activities in all fields.
He congratulated Chinese department students for their excellence and keenness on participating in all contests which will return back with good effect on them, thanks went also to the demonstrator Mr. Mohammed Shaheen, in Chinese department, for his following up and training to students on memorizing and recitation skills.
