According to President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi’s initiative for a national campaign “Egypt Free of Hepatitis C Virus by 2020”, Aswan university in cooperation with the ministry of health is to provide comprehensive medical checkup including Hepatitis C Virus analysis for the university’s academic staff, their assistants and employees during December 2018 . The vice president of education and student’s affairs Prof. Hanan Abd Al Moneam declared that Aswan University provided medical checkup including Hepatitis C Virus analysis for 6300 fresh students, 14 cases with Hepatitis C Virus were discovered and were transferred to Aswan Fever Hospital. Aswan university medical administration director general Dr. Mohammed Sobhy said that the university will bear all the treatment expenses for the students with the hepatitis C virus.
