  Today corresponding to 19th Oct. 2021, Aswan university acting president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman witnessed the welcoming ceremony for the freshmen and old students in the academic year 2021/2022. The event was attended by faculty of medicine’s dean Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori, faculty of medicine’s vice dean of education and student affairs Prof. Moustafa Adam Al Tiri, Aswan university hospitals’ executive manager Dr. Ashraf Mebead, the manager of education development program Dr. Magda Farghly Gabry and the acting chairman of cardiovascular medicine department Dr. Ramadan Ghaleb.

  The ceremony started with verses from the Holy Quran, during his speech Prof. Ayman Othman asserted on the global advanced scientific and research position which Aswan university has reached and the university’s keenness on the regularity of study while complete commitment to precautionary measures and vaccinating all university members.

  He welcomed the freshmen and old students and stressed on the university administration’s keenness on harnessing all efforts in serving them and working on the success of the educational process. He congratulated attendees on the anniversary of the 6th October War Victory and the Mawlid al-Nabi, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

  In his speech, Prof. Dahshori urged students to exert effort to be qualified graduates in the future, he also urged them to receive vaccination as a condition to complete studying and attend lectures until the state can overcome this hard period.

  Prof. Mustafa Adam Al Tiri showed the significance of applying precautionary measures, doing sports and positive participation in student activities as a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. The celebration parts followed each other differentiating from Islamic chanting, playing music, and sketches.  

  In the end, Aswan university acting president, faculty of medicine’s dean, faculty of medicine’s vice dean of education and students affairs, Aswan university hospitals manager, education development program manager, and the acting chairman of cardiovascular medicine department honored the top 10 students of the 1st and 2nd batches wishing success to all.
