Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research displayed a report presented from Dr.Amr Adly-Vice –Dean of the president of university affairs , about the insertion of 20 Egyptian universities in the international classification for the academic year 2020 that is compared to 19 universities according to Times Higher Education , Aswan University ranked first in the world in citations (401-500)then Mansoura and Suez University get (501-600).
From his side Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar praised the increasing of the number of Egyptian Universities according to International Classification Times, Aswan University ranked first globally in the field of citations, referring to the efforts exerted by the ministry in cooperation with theEgyptian Knowledge Bank to help universities improve their international rankings , he explained these results led to a noticed increase in the classification of Egyptian Universities according to the results of many rankings like the 2019 Academic of Shanghai Ranking to select 1000 universities from 3000 universities ,and the ranking includes 5 Egyptian universities to be these universities among the highest %3 from the list of universities’ world, Egyptian universities get 60 advanced places in scientific specializations ,also Egypt’s rank increased according to international publishing according toScimagorank from 38th in the world in 2017 to 35th in 2018.
