Under the patronage of Aswan governor Maj. Gen. Magdi Hegazi and Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, today Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab has opened the 2nd International Nursing Conference under the title ” Competency-Based Nursing Education: Enhancing Quality & Safety in Patient Care”. The conference was attended by the head of Egyptian nursing Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, the dean of the faculty of nursing, Aga Khan University Dr. Sharon Brawny, the cultural advisor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dr. Ashraf Darweish, Aswan university vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman, the vice president of education and student’s affairs Prof. Hanan Abd Al-Moneam, the dean of the faculty of nursing Dr. Amal Dawood and a selected group of specialists. Prof. Ghallab stressed on the vital role of nursing occupation and the significance of upgrading it through organizing such conferences that help in enhancing the nurse for competing in the nursing labor market and applying the new care system through occupational safety. Dr. Amal Dawood added that the faculty of nursing seeks to promote nursing occupation through educational protocols.
