Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab has received the representative of the University of Tokyo Mr. Haro Kobayatchi and the accompanied delegation to discuss the ways of collaboration between Aswan University and the Japanese University of Tokyo in the fields of Japanese language, the renewable and nonrenewable energy, agriculture, engineering and water treatment. Prof. Ghallab has welcomed the delegation and referred to the significance of Aswan university for its specialized faculties and its situation in Upper Egypt so it represents the link between the Japanese and African universities through the Japanese department of the faculty of Al-Alsun. The two parts discussed the articles of cooperative agreement between Aswan university and the Japanese University of Tokyo in terms of students, academic staff and experience exchange in the fields of scientific and applied research that serves the educational process in Aswan University.

Prof. Ghallab said that Aswan university plays vital role towards the African Continent through making use of its natural resources by activating the role of the African Studies and Nile Basin Countries Institutes.
