The President of Aswan University issued a decision to assign Prof. Ayman Salah Taha, Professor of Restoration and Conservation of Manuscripts and Archaeological Documents, to be the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology at Aswan University.

Prof. Ayman Salah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Restoration of Antiquities from the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University in 2004 with a general grade of (very good with honors). He also obtained a Master’s degree in Restoration of Antiquities from the same faculty in 2010 with an excellent grade with a recommendation to print and exchange between Egyptian universities at the university’s expense. He also obtained a PhD in Restoration of Antiquities from the Faculty of Archaeology at Cairo University in 2014 with first class honors with a recommendation to print and exchange between Egyptian universities at the university’s expense.

Prof. Ayman progressed through the university staff from a teaching assistant in the Department of Restoration of Antiquities at the Higher Institute of Tourism, Hotels and Restoration of Antiquities in Alexandria to an assistant lecturer, then a lecturer in the same department, then a lecturer in the Department of Restoration of Antiquities at the Faculty of Archaeology at Aswan University during the period from 2015 to 2019.
