In line with Aswan University’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and supporting academic efforts related to preserving cultural heritage, and under the auspices of Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ayman Salah Taha, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology, and Prof. Enas Mustafa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Environmental Affairs and Community Service Sector at the Faculty of Archaeology is organizing a specialized scientific lecture entitled:<\/p>\n

\u201cEnvironmental Threats to Antiquities (Risk Analysis and Sustainable Protection Mechanisms).\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The lecture will be delivered by Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Salam, Professor of Antiquities Restoration and Head of the Department of Antiquities Restoration at the Faculty of Archaeology, Aswan University. This event is part of the university’s efforts to support scientific and awareness-raising activities aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of protecting antiquities from various environmental impacts.<\/p>\n

The lecture is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026,<\/strong> at 10:00<\/strong> AM in the Egyptian Antiquities Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This lecture is part of the Faculty’s efforts to highlight the most prominent environmental challenges facing archaeological sites and heritage artifacts, while reviewing modern scientific methods for risk analysis and proposing sustainable protection mechanisms that contribute to preserving cultural heritage for future generations.
